About the Friends
Who We Are
The Friends of the San Juan Island Library (FOL) is an all-volunteer, non-profit charitable organization established in Friday Harbor in 1979. FOL is registered with the State of Washington and maintains IRS 501(c)(3) charitable organization status.
What We Do
Although FOL exists separate from the San Juan Island Public Library, we support our island public library through fund-raising activities for library programs and needs, sponsoring enrichment programs for all ages, and by encouraging literacy in our community through our used book sales.
Friends of the San Juan Island Library Board of Directors
The Board of Directors consists of a maximum of ten (10) members in good standing, elected from the membership of the FOL group.
